Understanding Generational Differences
Wednesday, May 10, 2007, 8:30-Noon, University Club Lounge
Facilitated by Laurie Stillman and Brad Horton
There is a growing awareness of the generational diversity that exists in the workplace. Older, middle-aged and younger staff members may share common work tasks, but their values, approaches to work, communication styles and perceptions of each other may differ greatly. This workshop will explore some of the generational differences and provide useful approaches to creating a work environment that is productive and compatible for everyone.
Part of the "Understanding Diversity" Certificate Series This series is designed to offer participants an in-depth opportunity to examine the many differences that exist in our community, and to gain a greater understanding of how we can work together to create a more bias-free environment on campus. Those who complete five of the six workshops in the series will receive a certificate of participation.
