The Office for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion supports more than 1500 advisory committee, employee resources groups, and diversity leadership group members—groups that meet more than 100 times in the course of a year—in their work to advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion across campus and in the community.

DEI Leadership Groups
DEI engages with two groups that advise the Vice Chancellor to provide campus leaders and the campus community with advice concerning ways to strengthen and maintain the bonds of community at UC Davis and to fulfill the goals of the Diversity and Inclusion

- Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Executive Leadership Team
DI-ELT’s core roles have been (a) ensuring implementation of the Diversity and Inclusion Strategic Vision and (b) serving as a forum in which to discuss issues and incidents on campus that challenge our values or offer opportunities for deeper reflection and improvement.
As experts on the issues relevant to our spheres of influence, members of the group help to identify internal and external opportunities and threats to making measurable progress on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) at UC Davis. We work together to develop strategic approaches that enable our units to own, embrace, and plan around DEI. They serve as thought partners with the Vice Chancellor on how to embed our DEI values into the daily work of the university and as advisors to the Chancellor and Provost on issues of accountability related to UC Davis’ DEI goals. Members of the DI-ELT commit to serve as champions and ambassadors for DEI—conveying information and serving as models to help establish for our campus a set of professional standards and expectations around our values.
