Have you ever faced discrimination? If you haven’t, have you wondered how that would feel? To foster greater mutual understanding on our diverse campus, the UC Davis Library is currently seeking participants for its inaugural Human Library at UC Davisevent. And if you answered ‘yes’ to either question, we invite you to be part of it.
The Human Library is an international movement that brings people of different backgrounds together to ask questions, share stories about diverse life experiences, and have productive conversations that challenge stereotypes, prejudices and preconceived ideas. In this ‘library,’ ‘books’ are people, pages of the ‘books’ are their life experiences, and reading is a conversation.
