New Hate-Free Together Website Launched

UC Davis Office for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion would like to applaud the collaborative efforts of UC Davis, the UC Davis Chancellor's Office, the City of Davis, Yolo County, Davis Joint Unified School District and the Yolo County Office of Education in launching a new Hate-Free Together website: www.hatefreetogether.org.

This website will house resources, a calendar, information and more related to the joint effort of Hate-Free Together.

It will include:

  • information on how to report hate crimes in the various jurisdictions;
  • provide a history of the initiative; share resources for victims, highlight local, state and federal statistics and information around hate crimes;
  • display a calendar of events of relevant trainings, education opportunities or events; offer ways that people, businesses or organizations can get involved;
  • and much more.

The website will act as a hub, or clearinghouse, of information. It will also highlight existing and ongoing opportunities for learning and education in the area, such as at local faith-based organizations, with nonprofits, on college campuses or through other partners.

"We are so excited to help elevate the announcement of this website and acknowledge the tremendous work of our partners—UC Davis Strategic Communications, City of Davis, and Yolo County," said Renetta G. Tull, Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, "We will look forward to sharing information from Hate-Free Together along with intersecting aspects of UC Davis’ DEI work, such as the Principles of Community, the UC Davis Police Accountability Board, and resources shared on our Hate-Free UC Davis site, which was inspired by Hate-Free Together and the collaborations for Healthy Davis Together, and Healthy Yolo Together.

She continued, "The new Hate-Free Together website will be a wonderful resource for individual people, groups and organizations throughout UC Davis and our entire region."
