Get ready for  DEI in July 2023!

Tuesday, July 11
9:00am - 2:00pm

Attire is casual. Those participating in the professional headshots at the end of the day might want to consider bringing additional clothing or anything else they might need to be “camera ready.” The day’s activity starts at 9:30, so we ask that attendees plan to arrive by that time.

Goals
  • Identify and align ourselves with key priorities for 2023-4: crisis management; revenue generation; communications; project management; strategic planning and partnerships
  • Crowdsource ideas to promote health and wellness
  • Assess our broader regional, national, and international impacts
  • Reflect on what we do as DEI and how each of us can incorporate that in our roles
  • Get energized and gather team momentum as we close this amazing work accomplished this past academic year and look forward to the next!

Wellness and Meaning

This activity will be open throughout the day and for a week after the retreat. You can provide multiple responses. We will summarize your feedback at an upcoming huddle.

How might our division (DEI) support wellness (mind, body, and spirit) for you, your department, and the division as a whole?

Mobile: Send text to 37607. Type 31640 and your message.

We know that our DEI office serves as a model for others. We want to take a moment to reflect on this part of our work. Please consider the following scenarios as a way to communicate to your colleagues about your impact internationally, nationally, regionally, or locally:

If you were asked to give a presentation at the UN about your international impact, at the White House about your national impact, and/or at the Governor’s office about your California impact, what would you cover?
