⭐️ Hosted by the UC Davis Native American Retention Initiative
UC Davis began the Native American Studies program in 1996. As a growing department, they expanded their support and began to facilitate their own cultural commencement ceremony for Native American students, as well as individuals graduating with major and minors degrees from the Department of Native American Studies. The commencement ceremony recognizes and celebrates the family and community bond that has contributed to the success of our students. This special gathering highlights the importance of Native students within education and provides a space for the graduates to acknowledge themselves and their fellow graduating peers.
