Featured Speaker Dr. Lisa Nagy

Dr. Lisa NagyHer story of survival and journey of discovery which led her to learn about the field of Environmental Medicine and it’s focus on finding the causes of disease including genetic, hormonal, nutritional, allergic, and environmental factors. She was disabled for ten years and diagnosed in 2002 with what looked like Lou Gehrig’s – yet has almost fully recovered. She is now the medical director of her own Environmental Health Center of Martha’s Vineyard which is modeled after William Rea’s world famous facility in Dallas.

She is now president of Preventive and Environmental Health Alliance which is a group focused on educating medical students, doctors, the AMA, congress and the public and assists patients to find help nationwide. She spoke at NIEHS and has the recommendation of Linda Birnbaum, the Director. Listening to physicians and other people who have developed severe Environmental Illness is the first step towards helping the 75 million people in the country with various health issues, including autoimmunity, autism, even persistent Lyme disease related to their environments. There is even a relationship of toxic exposure at home or work to mold or chemicals and addiction to stimulants, alcohol and heroin which is a major topic.

She recently delivered talks at The University of Pennsylvania Medical School, the EPA in Boston, the Cleveland Clinic, and she was the Keynoter speaker on the health effects of mold after Super Storm Sandy in NYC in 2013. Television appearances include Netflix in 2018 ‘Afflicted’, Nightline, The Doctors, and in 2017 she will appear in White House Chronicles as well as in a cable series on mysterious conditions. She is the communications liaison for The American Academy of Environmental Medicine. Her website is www.lisanagy.com if you would like more education info and You tube has many helpful videos!
