Why I do DEI work

I work in DEI to support equitable institutional change in our world. Being raised in a diverse community where most of my neighbors were not the same race or ethnicity as me, has allowed me to connect with and act as a bridge and at times translator between cultures and norms. I want to honor our collective lived experiences by continuing to work for improved health outcomes for our community members who have less access.

Outside of work, you can find me relaxing with my family listening to music and dancing, or cooking and eating. You might see me at Dance on the Edge, or the Sacramento River Cruise.
