This seminar is the second seminar in a 3-part series, run through UC Davis' Professors for the Future pogram, that is aimed at providing graduate students and postdocs with inclusive mentorship skills. During this second session, we will discuss ways to identify challenges and issues you or your mentee may face, as well as strategies to address these challenges. We will also focus on some case studies of common challenges faced by mentors in academia. We will also be joined by the Director of the Women's Resources and Research Center, Cecily Nelson-Alford, to discuss resources available to people of all gender identities and how we, as mentors, can provide any necessary assistance.
