22–23 HSI Undergraduate Advisory Board
We are seeking a group of students for our inaugural HSI Undergraduate Advisory Board (HSI UAB)!
In your role, you will advise the HSI Director on initiatives that impact the academic student experience on a variety of topics, which include but are not limited to recruitment, student enrollment, research and teaching and learning, diversity, retention, campus climate and other aspects of undergraduate student life. As a member of the HSI UAB you will be expected to collaborate with a diverse group of highly motivated student leaders and advocates to enhance the overall undergraduate student experience at a Hispanic Serving Institution. The HSI UAB membership will be composed of 5-7 At-Large members in addition to a number of student representatives/leaders selected from different student centers.

REQUIREMENTS AND GUIDELINES
- Must be a registered student in good academic standing making progress towards a degree throughout the period of service.
- Knowledge of the campus and needs of Chicanx/Latinx students. Transfer students may use the previous student experience as a basis for consideration.
- Demonstrated culturally responsive skills and experience working with diverse student populations.
- Strong skills in listening, communicating with diverse audiences, problem solving, and working collaboratively.
- Demonstrated self-motivation and the capability to work well with a variety of people.
- Membership may be revoked for having more than 2 unexcused absences per year.
TIME COMMITMENT
- Selected HSI UAB members are expected to attend monthly meetings (~1-2 hours per month).
